Why is it that the same people who have no problem telling Ralph Nader not to run this time
get their backs up at any suggestion that the Democratic fringe candidates drop out of the race?
It's not about stifling other points of view; it's about money. As in, Bush will have huge amounts of it. Why piss all that cash away on primary fights when we can save it for the general election?
While you may not agree, at least acknowledge it's a reasonable strategy - especially under the circumstances. It's simply imperative that we get Bush and his cronies out of the White House; the alternative is unthinkable.
And for Democrats to turn against each other instead of Bush is exactly what the wingnuts want.
