Sen. Schumer's on CSPAN right now, calling for a special prosecutor. He said the Justice Department recommended last night that the White House counsel send out an email telling employees to retain emails and phone logs for the Plame investigation.

White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales asked if it was okay to wait "until the morning." Justice said sure.

He points out that left plenty of time for people to destroy things before they were told to keep them. "Did anything happen? I don't know." But "that's why we need a special prosecutor," he said.
