Great post from Jesse over at Pandagon today re: Little Howie's review of "Lying Liars":

Anyway, it's worth a read, if only because it perfectly demonstrates the need for Al's book. The tone of the article reads as if Al's an 800-lb. juggernaut marauding over the innocent right, while the whole big community he's affronted is taking the high ground. Kurtz manages not to interview a single person besides Franken who likes Franken's book, he gets virtually all of the factual bases of Franken's criticisms wrong, and he even says this:

Critics will undoubtedly find it as selective as the conservative books (by Ann Coulter and Bernard Goldberg, among others) that he skewers.

Kurtzie? YOU'RE A MEDIA CRITIC. Why don't you do your job and evaluate criticisms rather than repeating them? Is LATLLWTT:AFABLATR (goddamn, that's fun to type) actually as selective as Coulter and Goldberg's books? (No.) Does Howard Kurtz actually have an opinion on the book besides the fact that conservatives don't like it? (No.) Could the Washington Post get a better bang for their buck by buying boxed wine for their interns and letting them write reviews of Let Freedom Ring? (Yes.)
