IT'S STILL THE ECONOMY, STUPID
The 'Cons really don't get it, do they? Their
strategy in New York calls for them to run a less-than-serious candidate against Sen. Charles Schumer to give Bush a better chance to win. They figure Schumer's too popular and hard to beat, so they don't want to stir up his supporters and get them into the voting booths.
They just don't understand that any Democrat with a pulse will be in the booths in November 2004, come hell, high water or an entire squad of suicide bombers. It's not the Senate race that will get Democrats worked up.
